So happy that "A Profusion Of Playful Pinks" has tied for third place in the 12/2/2022 contest "Pink Flowers" held by the Beautiful Flowers Group. My thanks to contest and group administrator, Taphath Foose, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!!
A slightly closer-in view of a near-perfect cherry tree blossom from our lovely old weeping cherry tree. See "At First Blush" for a slightly stepped-back view of the same branch and flowers.
Original photographic image captured in April of 2005 with the Nikon D750 and the Nikkor 105mm Macro / Micro lens. Lots of tweaks in Photoshop CS6, then into Corel Painter 2015 to create this whimsical / impressionistic / abstract-y / painterly version of the playful blossoms springing into life!
