Happy to announce that "Backlit Jonquil" tied for 3rd place in the 11/27/2022 contest "Photographs Of Flowers On A White Background." Many thanks to contest administrator, Anne Haile, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners.
A lovely back-lit jonquil ... or is it a daffodil ... one of the sweet little darlings that my mom dug up from her garden and brought to our then-new house. These guys bloomed for about 28 springs ... the number of years we lived there. We enjoyed their graceful, hopeful beauty ... and their sweet, nostalgic fragrance which scented our home and lifted our spirits each spring.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
