Description
NOTE: FINE ART AMERICA WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON PURCHASED IMAGE.
I encourage everyone to look up and listen to Aaron Copeland's amazing "Fanfare for the Common Man" ... I'd like to dedicate this image to that exquisite musical work of art ... as well as to the nature of the industrious bee and all that he does for humankind and our beautiful blue planet.
Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 105mm vr Nikon macro lens at 1/3200 shutter speed and f/4.5 aperture. Exposure -0.33, 320 iso 5/21/2011 on top of Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, Pa. Lightly processed in Adobe's Camera Raw.

I spent a half hour the other day trying to shoot a bumblebee. He just would not turn around so I could see his head. Nice capture.
Lois Bryan replied:
Awww Guy ... I know what you mean!!!! So much of this kind of photography is luck, I think. Also, time of year ... don't know where you're located, but here in the mid-Atlantic states, a lot of the flowers are dying back ... not all ... but you keep trying!!!!
