"Five Sunflowers" tied for first place out of 431 entries in Fine Art America's "Sold In October On FAA" contest November 21st, 2016. My sincere thanks to everyone who voted for my images, and to the contest host, Karen Wiles.
"Five Sunflowers" is another one of my images from a recent visit to the pick-your-own sunflower fields at Burnside Farms in Purcellville, Virginia. It's a subtle look at natural light from several sources and the way the it plays on the glass jar, the water in the jar, on the translucent petals and the more dense green leaves.
