Description
The formal gardens at Winterthur, the former estate of the DuPont Family located near Wilmington, Delaware, boast some very beautiful architectural features. The grand staircase you see here is not far from the main structure of the home. The seemingly casual draping of the tree branches adds a sense of wild mystery to the formal geometric beauty of the bannisters and finials.
Image captured with the Nikon D7000 and the 18-200mm vr Nikkor lens in September of 2014. Edits in Photoshop include some painterly edits and the addition of two lovely textures from 2 Lil owls which include some slubs and bubs to deliberately enhance the nostalgic and vintage feel.
