Description
I don't pass by this particular Pennsylvania farm very often, but when I do, I'm always struck by the architectural beauty of this wonderful old barn and silo. The white structure you see is actually a barn ... the farmhouse itself is off to the left, out of frame. What joy the builder of these beautiful structures must have felt on the day construction ended and he could stand in front of them with pride. Fascinating, too, are all the many bits and bobs of rusted equipment laid out in a neat row in front of the barn. I am sure they served him well in their time.
On this particular autumn day, I was lucky enough to catch the sun at just the right angle to bring into relief all the glorious natural texture in the barn and silo. Even the grasses and sheaves of wheat seemed to pop for me.
Image captured with the Nikon D7000 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. My sincere thanks once again to Leslie Nicole and to Jerry Jones of Shadow House Creations for the beautiful textures which I added in Photoshop CS6 (NOT the cloud).

Because you obviously need another comment on this piece -- This is gorgeous, romantic work, Lois. Reading your description is every bit as satisfying as viewing this atmospheric, rural image. :-)
