A portrait of a glorious red-tailed hawk. I now know what a mouse must feel like as the sharp, laser-like vision of one of these guys hones in on its prey. Just a few quick moves more from Mr. Hawk, and Mousey better be speedy.
Original photographic image taken with the Nikon D300 in May of 2011 at the Lathrop E. Smith Environmental Education Center in Montgomery County, Maryland.
