NOTE: FINE ART AMERICA WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON PURCHASED IMAGE.
A twisty country road in rural Maryland ... late summer at its best. A wire fence held together with wooden posts you just know were hammered into the ground by hand, long ago. Looks like the field wasn't even planted this year ... but that's okay ... letting Mother Earth go fallow for a season is an old farmer's trick ... let it rejuvenate ... the crop will be better than ever the following year. From the looks of the barns, they seem to be in a holding pattern as well. But that's okay, too. At the end of a long, hot summer, we all look a bit the worse for wear.
Photography based digital art image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Much play in Nikon's Capture NX2, Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop CS4 and CS5. My thanks to Jerry Jones of Shadow House Creations and Leslie Nicole for the textures.

....a lazy, lazy Summer day -- kicking stones on a country road. Childhood memories that we thought would never end -- we had all the time in the world. This is a piece, a gift perhaps, that truly celebrates life. An outstanding work Lois. L/F

This is a picture, you look at it and you go, "i have to die someday and I want it to be here. I want to just sit with a blade of green grass between my teeth and the sunlight blurring my eyes and the scent of corn will be on the wind when I pass away. "
