This gorgeous little guy, a barred owl, is a resident of the Catoctin Nature Preserve and Zoo in Thurmont, Maryland which was hit hard during the recent Hurricane Sandy in our area. I haven't had a chance to go up and visit since, so I do hope he and his friends are all okay. http://www.cwpzoo.com/
Image taken 4/27/12 with the Nikon D300 and the 150-500mm vr Sigma at 450mm, iso 640. Darkish in there!!!
