Description
A row of bright golden sunflowers, bowing and waving in the soft breezes and warm light of a gentle August afternoon were a glorious sight.
The visit to Burnside Farms in Haymarket, Virginia, was my husband's idea. He travels these old country roads frequently and is always on the look out for something that he knows my camera and I will love. Burnside Farms is a pick-your-own adventure ... this particular row is only one of many where the lovely sunflowers are hoping to be picked and taken home. Lots of families enjoying the beautiful day and moderate temperatures ... a lovely place to spend a late summer afternoon.
This image is hand-painted, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own exclusive and original photographic images. Created in Corel Painter with a variety of brushes with a Wacom tablet and the art pen.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
