Description
I had a lot of fun with the wild violets in my garden this spring ... but I think this is the last shot of them I'll be posting (until next year?). Image taken with the Nikon D7000 and the 105mm Nikkor micor / macro lens. My thanks to Cheryl Butler of Belle Fleur for the great textures.

Stunning, exceptional, tender and utterly romantic. There is something about violets that just gets to me. "Sweet violets, sweeter than all the roses..." That song used to play on my grandmother's very old record player - one of only a few 78rpm records they owned. Love this. F/V
Lois Bryan replied:
Oh, Lianne, isn't it wonderful when an image can recall a favorite memory .. so glad this one had that effect on you. Yes, i remember my mom's old 78s ... in fact, we still have several, including a fabulous old crank Victrola. I should do up some pics of it one of these days!!! Thanks so much for your visit and note!!
