The very air is soft, the colors both vivid and gentle ... ahh ... the tropics. You knew you were in a different world the minute you stepped off the plane ... there is music in the air ... the breezes caress ... the smiles come and, through memory, will always remain.
I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to visit the state of Florida, in particular the Miami area, when I was a little girl. I will tell you a secret .. this was way back in the early 1950s ... when the area was just beginning its explosive development. My memories are brief ... flashes of color and warmth and light ... but they are very special. Having visited tropical regions as an adult, there is always that sense of familiarity ... of welcome ... and of the smiles.

Image painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely sketched using Corel Painter, a Wacom tablet and art pen stylus and many beautiful digital brushes.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
