Description
A sweet little farm house, proudly fixed up with electricity at one time, now sits all alone, its family and loved ones gone. The detritus of humanity ... what's left ... sometimes takes on a special beauty all its own ... sparking the imagination and, possibly, our own memories.

Gothicolors And Crows
Phenomenal piece, so beautiful!
Lois Bryan replied:
Truly honored that you liked it ... I think it needs a crow in there somewhere, though, what do you think?? ; ))

Detritus: Now there's a word you don't hear every day! Okay, I admit it, I had to look up this word definition. Though, once I learned its meaning, I couldn't think of a more perfect adjective to describe the deteriorated state of this farmstead, and the simulated condition of the canvas substrate, upon which this painting is so effectively depicted. Simply Mesmerizing! L/V&F
Lois Bryan replied:
Doug ... i read too many books written too long ago ... too many fun old words stuck in my brain, lol!!! Glad you enjoyed that one. After I put this image up, I was afraid the word was too harsh, but oh well ... it's there and that's that. Thanks so much!!
