I guess my love of brilliant color has made me fall head over heels for autumn artwork that showcases Mother Nature at her most festive ... the brilliant reds and golds and purples of the season always make me catch my breath.
But there is another side to autumn. Just as most of us struggle to wake up in the mornings, bleary eyed and drowsy, so, many times, does Mother Nature herself begin her day. Here we've caught her on a frosty, foggy November morning ... just as the glimmers of warm sun wisp the last of the night's frosts and fogs away. Even though most of the more glamorous and vibrant leaves have long fallen, the bare branches make a graceful backdrop to those few dramatic colors that still cling to their trees.
