Description
On September 5th, 2017, "A Golden Day" came in 2nd (tied for 2nd) in the Fine Art America contest "Autumn florals and landscapes" hosted by the Exquisite Florals Group. Many thanks to the administrator Maris Urso ... and most especially to everyone who voted for my image. Sincere congratulations to the other winners!!!
The colors of autumn are brought into glowing life by the warm sunshine ... a magical vision of gold and oranges and reds against a pale, gentle blue sky. The bend in the road I walk so often ... leading from our tiny ski cabin in Pennsylvania up to the main road, is a place of such beauty. This is at the very highest point of Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, Pennsylvania, home of Blue Knob All Seasons Resort.
Image captured with the Nikon D40x and the 18-135mm Nikkor lens.
