Artist's Description
Early morning, and the sun's rise, cloaked in fogs and mists, seems to be dragging its feet. Not an unusual start to what often turns into a day filled with brilliant sunlight in the area of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay.
A saucy seagull perches atop a piling at one of the wharves at Pirates Cove, Marina in Galesville, Maryland. His cheerful squawk seems to welcome us ... or is he pretending to be a rooster, calling up the morning. In the near distance the many sailboats, their masts and lines tinkling with the rocking to and fro from the gentle waves, await the moment when their sails are unfurled and they again rush across the waters of the West River and out to the bay.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally. Please be aware that we are currently experiencing a glitch in our system. The images in...
