So happy that "A Song Of Joy" tied for second place in the 8/29/2023 contest "Birds Singing." Many thanks to contest administrator, Eva Lechner, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!

A male cardinal taken outside my kitchen on a sunny day after a big snow, February 3, 2010. He looks so joyful that the snow has finally stopped and that the warming sun is shining on him and his little birdie friends ... AND that right behind him is a huge feeder filled with his favorite seeds!! He sat on that branch, soaking up the sunshine for quite a while!! Life is good!!

Camera Nikon D300 with the 150-500mm Sigma at 500mm focal length.
