Man's best friend, the dog ... he's always alert, always aware of our feelings and moods, always listening.
A tiny Maltese pup, his bright button eyes riveted on our every move, seems to be anticipating our plans for the day. Will it be a nice walkie on a soft spring morning then breakfast and some play? Or will Mom or Dad pull out the going-away clothes and shoes and leave him alone? Sometimes it seems like he knows what we've got on our schedules before we do!
Image hand painted in Corel Painter 2023 using one of my own photos as a starting point (it's not from stock or public domain). No artificial intelligence programs used.

Thanks, NL!!! He is a smarty, that's for sure ... and very soft!!!! The Maltese actually has hair, not fur ... and they're soft as a cotton ball!!
