In the Mid Atlantic area of the US, storms that blow through in spring can be gentle and mild ... the sun can even continue shining ... or can bring tornadoes and great devastation and tragedy. Back when I was a kid, we never really knew what was coming until it was upon us. Fortunately, our tornados weren't nearly as frequent or as violent as those in the plains states, but they still have their own brand of magic and beauty. These days our cell phones beep and honk with warnings that bad weather is on its way. In the case of this image, I like to think the storm was one of the milder ones ... but ... one never really knows, do one??

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
