A British beauty! A brilliant cherry-red Austin Healey Mark 1, vintage 1961, sparkles in the sunshine of memory … a worthy vehicle of fun from years ago. Its perfect proportions and playful face seem to call to us to come and enjoy.

This sweet beauty was the pride and joy of my husband during his college years. He spent many hours fine tuning and replacing this and that … including the engine, I believe. It carried him over hill and dale through the beautiful countryside of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and West Virginia in the late 60s and early 70s. We both hope it's still out there, zipping around the country roads, and giving much pleasure to a new generation.

I created this digital art in Photoshop in a watercolor style and loosely based it on a photo taken by my husband, Richard, many years ago. This image was NOT created using AI - Artificial Intelligence programs.
