Honored to announce that "Autumn Swan" tied for second place 10/30/19 in the Fine Art America contest "Your Favorite Autumn Decoration." Sincere thanks to the contest administrator, Kathy Kelly, and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!
At first glance we appear to be looking at a glorious mute swan gliding through a pond filled with newly fallen autumn leaves. But it is actually a beautifully carved figure, artfully draped with colorful canvas-cloth fall leaves. To the side is a graceful white urn. Both the urn and the swan catch and reflect the light in a magical way.
Image sketched and painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own photos which I captured at the Juniata Mercantile, between Breezewood and Bedford, PA, using Corel Painter 2019, a Wacom tablet, the art pen stylus and digital brushes from the beautiful Monet collection.
This image was not created using AI - Artificial Intelligence programs.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
