Digital Art - Digital Art / Photography Based Digital Hand Painting
A brilliant, sparkling, bright and shiny 1932 Ford Coupe parked in a garage parking lot in my hometown in beautiful West Virginia ... as if waiting for me to drive by and give it some love.
A timeless classic ... a thing of great beauty ... will always stop traffic. At least it did in my case a week ago. How I love to see bright and shiny darlings like this Ford driving down the road. They're sure to get a wave and a honk from me when they pass by. But in this case, this sweetie wasn't on the move going someplace else. It was just there ... for me ... to enjoy!!! So out I hopped, snapped a few shots (after getting permission, of course) ... and sped home in my (almost vintage) 2001 Toyota to start painting.
I was told that this is a 1934 Ford Coupe, but In doing a bit of research, I'm finding that the grill on the 1934 has a distinct diagonal slant, going inward toward the top whereas the 1932 seems to be vertical. Also the vents on the sides of the hood (which is obviously not all there) are very pronounced on the 1934. I'm unfamiliar with any history on this beauty so possibly parts were substituted, or ... which is more probably ... I got the car's name wrong when I talked to the guy there.
I was inspired by my photo (which is not from stock or public domain) to loosely sketch then digitally paint, this gorgeous beauty freehand, in Corel Painter. Bits of artistic license here and there, but I tried hard to stay true to the original.
Fine art purchases of this image as well as products will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag." There are options for colors and style differences. If interested, just contact me through the site.
