Description
Very happy to announce that "Buoys From Russell's Lobsters tied for second in the Fine Art America contest "Gone Fishing" 9/20/18. Many thanks to the contest administrator, John Glass, and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!!
I have to credit my husband ... he spotted this and slammed on the brakes a split second before I yelped for him to stop the car!! He's developing a good eye!!!! Found just down the road from the Nubble Lighthouse in Maine, USA, September 4, 2008.

I love the crispness in the details of the buoys and nets and the great contrast of colors. I can see why you both had to stop. I took a similar picture in Newport, Oregon. I think we have similar tastes. I was walking and didn't have to stop the car.
Lois Bryan replied:
Thanks so much, James!! That' helpful when you aren't in the car, that's for sure!!! I've been meaning to post the image of the whole shack ... must do that soon before I forget about it again, lol!!!

Lois, What a colorful collection of fishing floats! To think–each design once marked the nets for different fishing boats. (Mutual respect for one-another's property is good practice in all walks of life.) Seeing this collection makes me think about the adventurous tales these floats have been a part of—and what appealing artwork this would be in any nautically-themed decor. You have a great eye for finding and preserving unique and interesting subjects! L&F

Hello Lois I was the artist/collector that bought your wonderful work. I am a photographer myself and I was in search of a buoy photograph and I had an image in my mind, When i found your beautiful shot I knew it was the one. By finding this site I was encouraged and excited to upload my own images. I'm just getting started as I have hundreds of images to share. It's wonderful being able to support other artists.
Lois Bryan replied:
