Another brilliant display of lights in the sky ... fireworks over Rhode River, just off the Chesapeake Bay, on a dark summer night at Rhode River, Edgewater, Maryland, were for many years the highlight of the summer season. First held as a Fourth of July Celebration, they later became a staple of end of summer festivities around Labor Day. Floated out on a giant barge just as the sun began to set, the horns on the boats which had collected to watch the show began to hoot, the people on the shores packed up their picnics and grabbed their blankets and beer and iced tea and bug spray and settled in for a night to remember.
My eternal thanks to those who worked so hard to put this amazing display on for all of us to enjoy. Thanks, Sonny. You'll never be forgotten.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
