Description
There is a special magic about the morning hours in winter. When the sky is so blue and the light is so bright and the air is so crisp you can almost hear it crackle. And there's a very special magic to Christmas morning.
Though this beautiful church, nestled in the rolling foothills of the Laurel Highlands of Central Pennsylvania looks quiet now, within a short time it will be filled to overflowing. From excited young children experiencing their first Christmas to the very old who've seen many a Christmas day and everyone in between ... the people will come. Soon the joyful chords of the organ will sound and the people's voices will be lifted in vibrant song.
May the joy of the day last throughout the year.
Image sketched and painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own photos using Corel Painter 2019, a Wacom tablet, the art pen stylus and a wide variety of beautiful digital brushes.
