Description
With a heavy swoosh of his glorious blue-gray wings, a magnificent Cooper's Hawk alights on a fallen branch. As if he knows his colors blend into the rotting wood, he stands almost motionless. He waits ... minutes pass. The afternoon falls unusually silent. The hawk's alert red eyes scan the area for his prey ... the smaller birdies who frequent the nearby feeder. But the little birds are on to him. Wherever they fled to, tucking their tiny bodies into the branches of the nearby trees or under the brush, they're not moving. The waiting game eventually plays out with the hawk giving up, his stomach still empty ... and taking flight ... away into the blue sky.
Image lightly sketched from one of my own photographs and digitally hand-painted in Corel Painter 2019 on a Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet and Art Pen and the beautiful Sargent brushes.
This image was NOT created using AI - Artificial Intelligence programs.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
