Artist's Description
An early April view of the beautiful Colvin Covered Bridge, crossing Shawnee Creek, and looking back toward the township of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania. With the hint of texture and a few other artistic treatments, I've tried to portray what the citizens of the area might have viewed on the day the bridge was completed in 1894. The bridge itself is owned and maintained by the county and is still used for light, local traffic ... and ... fishing!
Image captured with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens in April of 2012.

Very nice! This is a lovely little bridge - I visited it last when the forsythia were blooming as well and I thought they really added to the whole scene. You captured such nice light too! Congratulations! I’m am very pleased to feature your beautiful image in the group Covered Bridges and Historical Buildings. It’s a wonderful addition to the group! Please add it to the “2022 First Quarter Featured Images Collection” thread in the discussions area for a permanent record of the feature. Thank you!
