Description
Golden forsythia branches, cut with care, create a lovely warm still life in this old gray jug.
An exuberant sign of spring, brilliant, glowing, golden forsythia shrubs … their many arms waving in the spring breezes … have always brought me a sense of expectancy and joy. Their happy yellows and golds, popping against the not-quite fully leafed out landscapes around them seem to dare the rest of the natural world to catch up with them and come on out and play!! Let's get this party started!!!
So get your clippers, cut a few branches, and bring them inside to enjoy!!
Sketched and digitally hand painted in Rebelle with watercolor brushes using my own original photo (not from stock or public domain) as a starting point … a very loose base and guide.
Not created using Artificial Intelligence / AI.
Fine art as well as product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

This beautiful painting reminds me of being at my mothers house in the Summer. There is a large patch of wild / common landscape and there were large patches of this shrub. You have painted it beautifully LF
