Enjoying a beautiful spring afternoon at the Black Ankle Winery Vineyard and Wine Bar in Mt. Airy, Maryland with two dear friends ... what better way to celebrate my birthday! And of course since the camera was in my lap, what's a gal to do but take some snaps in between the delicious sips?

I like this one so well I had a good play in Photoshop ... lots of colorful versions to be uploaded soon.

Original photographic image taken with the Nikon D7000 and the 50mm f/1.8 lens in May of 2014. Much tweaking in Photoshop and other programs to create the painterly version you see here, plus a lovely texture from 2 Lil' Owls.

Thanks so much, Jim ... don't know what it is with me, but I have a fascination with repetitive geometric patterns. I went a little nutz and created several versions of this one in wildly different colors. Maybe one or two more will show up here at some point in the future. Glad you enjoyed it!!

It was a beautiful spring day, and my girlfriends drove me around to a couple of these places (which I never even knew existed!!!) ... of course, I had my camera, but I have to say, after the first coupe of sips of those delicious wines ... I didn't take too many more pictures, LOL!!!
