Description
For age is opportunity no less
Than youth itself, though in another dress,
And as the evening twilight fades away
The sky is filled with stars, invisible by day.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
A wonderful couple of old barns that, unless you're looking for them, you will miss seeing. Located in historic Brookeville, Maryland, I don't know if they were there when on August 26, 1814, then-President James Madison made the house across the street the Capital of the United States for one day. Madison and his staff were escaping the British invasion of Washington DC in the war of 1812. But ... the barns? They might have been there ....
Image taken December of '08 with the Nikon D40x. Lots of editing in Photoshop Version 8, CS4 and 5, Capture NX2, Camera Raw and Photomatix. My thanks to Princess of Shadows at Deviant for the texture used.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
