Artist's Description
A day on the beach at North Carolina's Outer Banks spent gazing at the ins and outs of the waves is my idea of perfection. Usually not much going on out there, kids learning to boogie-board, the strong young teens catching a nice wave on their surf boards, a sailboat way out on the horizon, and maybe a school of dolphins or a dozen pelicans skipping through the breakers.
But look back toward the land now and then, too. That's often where the weather comes from. I've noticed when we're there, almost every afternoon around 3 or 4:00, when I should be heading in to rustle up some dinner for the crew, a silent show is building in the sky. Coming from west to east and usually slightly to our south, heavenly designs begin to take shape.
So here's my advice … take a little extra time, dinner can wait. Watch the shapes form in the sky … doggies with floppy ears cavort … see a Tyrannosaurus Rex take shape … watch turtles crawl … and see the way the light changes...

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
