A brilliantly blue male Eastern Bluebird poses for his picture, showing off his glorious colors, atop a blooming redbud tree on a soft spring morning.
I had the great pleasure of enjoying this beautiful boy and his pretty wife all summer long as they raised brood after brood in our backyard's bluebird box. I'm in awe of the diligence and determination they showed ... and applaud their dedication to their babies. In the hottest summer heat, in winds so strong they sometimes turned the box completely around, with hungry predators who came and went, the bluebird parents persevered. It was an amazing summer!!!
My own original photography captured with my Nikon D7000 and the Sigma 150-500 at 500mm in April, 2019.
