Description
The first snowfall of 2016 came on January 1st. The white stuff had been sifting out of heaven very gently all day. As evening arrived the light beaming through breaks in the clouds revealed a hushed winter-wonderland ... just enough snow to look pretty. Of course, as we were at the top of Pennsylvania's highest skiable mountain, we knew the chances of the snow staying only at the looking-pretty stage could change quickly and before long we'd be up to our knees ... or worse (better, if you're a skiier or boarder!) soon enough. Pile on the layers and come join us!! It's c-c-cold, but it's fun!!!
Photography captured with the Nikon D750 and the 24-70mm Nikkor lens January 1, 2016. Very little adjustments in Camera Raw and Photoshop ... this is pretty much the scene as we saw it.
