"Garden Jewelry" ... a beautiful golden swallowtail butterfly enjoying the bright pink coneflowers in our garden. Some years they would come in so thick and fast you had to gently brush them aside to get down the path from one end of the garden to the other.
Image taken July 18, 2008 with the Nikon D40x and the 70-300mm vr Nikon lens. Aperture f/5.6, shutter 1/250, exposure -1.00, pattern metering, iso 200, 300mm focal length.
