I had a great time on my trip to the "Fields Of Flowers" in Purcellville, Virginia. Rows of beautiful flowers await the visitor's clippers at this fun, pick-your-own farm ... so many varieties of lovely posies just waiting to grace your own home. A beautiful day, surrounded by Mother Nature's best ... nothing better!!
This particularly lovely dahlia stood out from all the rest of the beauty. The intricate blendings of deep purple to lavender to pink to yellow to glowing gold against the calm and cooling green leaves was such a refreshing sight. And I've always loved the curling shape of the individual petals.
I think I might have to plant a few of these in my new garden for next year, too!!
