Description
Greenwich Point, Connecticut, is a place of simplicity ... a place to stand on the beach all alone, watching the sailboats in the distance across Long Island Sound, feeling the sun and the breezes and the joy.
This image is hand-painted, digitally, and is loosely based on one of my own photos and is a version of the straight photographic image, "On A Clear Day." "Greenwich Point" was created in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and many beautiful brushes and is a companion piece to "It's All Yours" ... which is a closer look at the bench, just visible on the other side of the shed. While my intention was to create "Greenwich Point" in an identical style to "It's All Yours" sometimes the images themselves dictate otherwise ... so you may notice more attention to detail and less impressionistic freedom in the brush work in this image.
Original photographic image taken with the Nikon D7000 and the 18-200mm Nikkor lens on May 31, 2014.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Fabulous digital artwork of a Connecticut Beach which I love, where I swam perhaps many hundred of hours over several years, preparing for a solo swim of the English Channel. The wind, sky and waves change from hour to hour, sseaason by season. Lois Bryan has beautifully captured a piece of this fabulous beach! F/L
