Description
Along an old country road, one which hasn't seen the benefits of paving, we meander back home through the meadows and the rust-colored hedges and trees. The final stage of autumn, when the colors have all blended to rusts and browns, can be just as magical as the rich reds and oranges and golds. Before us are the distant blue mountains, and we notice the trees at the crown catching the setting sun look almost as if they're on fire. It has been a glorious autumn and we're sad to see it coming to an end. But there's always next year.
Painted freehand digitally from my imagination in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet and art pen stylus, utilizing many beautiful brushes. No photography used, in any way.
Not created using Artificial Intelligence / AI.
"Hazy Autumnal Eve" is a new version of an old favorite, "Home Through The Fields," in a different color scheme.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Such a beautiful landscape, full of atmosphere, intrigue and serenity, Wonderful F+
Lois Bryan replied:
Thanks so much, Nancy … I felt a sense of "mystery" as I was creating it … but didn't want to bring that into the description. Glad you felt it from the piece itself.
