Digital Art - Digital Art / Non Photography Based Freehand Digital Hand Painting
A hazy autumn light filters across the wandering cow path that cuts through the empty fields. It's getting late and we know we should hurry, but it's such an unusual afternoon ... such a mysterious light ... and there's the smell of smoke in the air. Someone must be burning leaves ... though that's not done much anymore. The danger of wildfires is something we worry about now here.
We can't help wondering how many others have gone before us down this trail ... humans, cows and more ... wandering home over the many years. It's like time stood still. It will be good to get safely home.
Painted freehand digitally from my imagination in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet and art pen stylus, utilizing many beautiful brushes.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
Living on the East Coast, I admit I've been very affected by the fires blazing among those of us living on the West Coast and my heart bleeds for them. I did not deliberately create the trouble that appears to be brewing over the ridge of the mountains to the left in this image ... it just sort of appeared as I was working ... and I made the decision to leave it. I'll let the viewer decide what's happening.
