A glorious wild American Bald Eagle soars into the turbulent heavens … bravely presenting his mighty self against all that Mother Nature might bring against him. But he knows, even among the most fearsome clouds and storms, a light will shine … follow the beams, he tells himself. Follow the light. All will be well.
"Honor Bound In Blue" is a re-work of an old favorite "Honor Bound" ... bringing out the blues. It is a compilation of two of my own images, the eagle and the sky, plus texture from Skeletal Mess @ Flickr. The eagle image was taken November 6, 2010 at Conowingo Dam, Maryland with the Nikon D300 and the 150-500 OS Sigma lens at 500mm focal distance, against a lovely clear blue sky. The clouds were taken June 9, 2009 with the Nikon D40x. All combined and sun rays produced in Photoshop CS4.

Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally. Please be aware that we are currently experiencing a glitch in our system. The images in...

Scott, i really recommend this lens. Check it out .. very reasonably priced, I think, and not too heavy ... and unless you're shooting in the dark (which I don't, lol) it gives excellent results in decent lighting!!!
