Description
A photographic image taken in the dead of winter several years ago. All the birds in the neighborhood had been using our back deck as their favorite lunch spot as I keep the feeders filled with black oiler sunflower seeds, especially in winter. This particular little birdie had just been shoved out of a prime feeding spot at one of the feeders and seemed quite miffed. Off he flew, only to return for more within a few minutes. Original photographic image taken February of 2010 with the Nikon D300 and the 150-500mm OS Sigma lens. My thanks to CG Textures for the hint of textural overlay.

Though I hate Starlings, (they destroy Bluebird nests), this is a wonderful photograph.

Subtle texture adds depth and complexity to this largely monochromatic image. Lovely as always, Lois. Also enjoyed hearing about the feeder drama which preceded this capture. Glad this little fella didn't flee the coop, so to speak, permanently! v
