Description
A collection of shoes and wooden shoe molds is displayed hanging within the shoemaker's shop window in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, casting shadows and adding a rustic charm to the scene. The open window's green frame and the interior's warm lighting create an inviting atmosphere.
A trip to Colonial Williamsburg is a dream come true for those of us who enjoy history and also value visual beauty. From architectural favorites like government houses, palaces and simple frame residences, each with their own history and story .... to the most everyday of scenes, a garden filled with flowers or a shop window filled with 18th century style shoes, Colonial Williamsburg is a feast for the eye and for the heart.
I captured this photo in September of 2017 with the Nikon D7000 and my trusty 188-200mm Nikkor lens. Edits included a visit to my favorite hdr program, Photomatix.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... wall art will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag." No artificial intelligence used.
