So excited that "Into The Wind" received First Place honors in the 8/28/22 contest "Digital Oceans" held by the Digital Paintbrush group. Many thanks to the contest administrator, Taphath Foose, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!!
Beyond the golden shore with its crashing aqua waves and beneath the sky filled with flying clouds we see a tiny sailboat. She's skimming through the waters of the ocean ... without a care in the world! Into the wind she goes ... from where ... to where ... we'll never know. But for the moments she's in our vision, we are a part of her journey and her joy.
Image created entirely in my imagination ... after a week at the Outer Banks of North Carolina where we did see tiny white sailboats in the distance! Freehand, hand painted in Corel Painter.
