The brilliant and fluffy white coat of a sweet Samoyed girl glows golden in afternoon's winter sun and the flames of a cozy fireplace. Our Sadie's favorite spot at the ski cabin in Blue Knob ... where she sometimes couldn't seem to keep her eyes open (unless somebody said the words walkies or food!) was in front of an old wooden chest that we use as a coffee table, and the colorful and comfy woolen rug. It might be snowing like a banshee outside, or the sun may have come out, but when there's dozing to be done, she knows the perfect spot.
This painting is based on one of my own photos (not from "stock" or public domain) as a starting point which I used to loosely sketch and digitally hand-paint using Corel Painter.
