Description
Absolutely thrilled to announce that "Little Lost Kitten" has won the 11/12/2020 Fine Art America contest "MASTERS - FOUND MISSING" Held by the Masters Artists Group. Most sincere thanks to contest admin Debora Lewis for all she does for us and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!!
A tiny orange tabby kitten has crept out from her hiding place behind the basket and pumpkin and, feeling safe for the moment, wrapped her adorable tail around herself for warmth and protection. Her eyes, big and inquisitive, gaze out at us in curiosity as if to ask will you take me with you and give me a good home?
In reality, she's not lost. She was originally part of another image of mine, Pumpkins and Mums, which "lost" her when I decided to give her her own image. She was loosely sketched and painted from a snap I took at the Juniata Crossing Mercantile, one of my all time favorite shops, in Juniata Pennsylvania, between Breezewood and Bedford. She was comfortably warming herself in front of an old fashioned iron / wood stove on a crisp fall afternoon. Her eyes were nearly shut ... dozing in the warmth ... and purring away.
I took much artistic license with the photos which were gently used to get the story started on this image. It was sketched and hand-painted, digitally, and very loosely inspired by two of my own images. Painted in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and a wide variety of beautiful brushes including some of the new "thick paint" technology.
NOT created by using AI - Artificial Intelligence.
Purchases of this image on wall art or products will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... wall art of this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
