Hi,Lois! After receiving your kind reply e-mail with your very helpful info on lenses, I am doing a little tour of your some of your images, making note of your lens selection. Looks like a good macro lens is going to have to be included on my list. I've seen lots you've taken with the 105mm that I admire! Of course the equipment is only one component of wonderful images... I know that much of what I admire in your work is attributable to you!! So much wonderful work in your portfolio! I think when I grow up as a photographer, I'd like to be like you!!! :) Just a little note from one of your fans!
Lois Bryan replied:
Carla, you doll .. you have me blushing!!! I just sent you another rather long epistle ... I hope it helps out some more!!! Thank you!!!!

I have a thing for ferns - probably because the house I grew up in had a huge fern bush and the Silver Fern is a New Zealand symbol. The light here Lois is just exceptional, love the colour and it's beautifully composed to. Such a fave :-)
Lois Bryan replied:
Kym, thank you so much ... I love them too ... like feathers of the forest!!! So glad you enjoyed this!!!
Michael Friedman
Beautiful image, Lois! I love the just barely discernible ferns in the bokeh!
Lois Bryan replied:
Hi Michael!!!!! Thank you ... and I'm glad you enjoyed the bokeh ... that was my favorite part of this one!!

Lois, congratulations on your features of this image. Love the many shades of green and the variety of focus. voted
Lois Bryan replied:
Cheri thank you so much!!! I love playing around with shallow dof ... when the wind is blowing and the bugs are biting (and the sweat is dripping, lol) it can be a bit of a challenge ... but every so often one of the shots turns out!!! Glad you enjoyed this one!!!!
Karon DeVega
lovely soft touch of such a fragile water-loving fern, I just love fern! Beautiful capture Lois ~ wonderful composition and focus with delightful bokeh
Lois Bryan replied:
Thank you Karon ... i do too. We have a small fern garden here at the house ... but up on the mountain, there are forests full of the things!!!! So gorgeous!!!!
Steve Harrington
A wonderfully dreamy feel to this image, Lois! v/f
Lois Bryan replied:

Lianne Schneider
Really beautiful Lois - I adore green anyway but this is very special! F/V
Lois Bryan replied:
Thank you so much, Lianne ... I have two more color versions of this one ... I usually don't post more than one version of an image, but I may make an exception in this case ... I like them too, lol!!!!
