Description
A honey bee ... said to be becoming endangered ... enjoys his breakfast of nectar from one of the asters in my garden on an early September morning. Whether it's parasites or chemicals in the form of herbicides or other, we're becoming more and more aware of the danger our little friends are in. Please, when you see them in your garden, welcome them. They won't hurt you if you're careful and respectful. Image captured 9/21/12 with the Nikon D300 and the 105mm Nikon / Nikkor macro/micro lens.

Thank you, Beve. I'm not sure my asters will be coming up this year. The black eyed susans have about taken over that part of the garden!
