When my son, Rich Bryan, was in New York City a couple of years ago, he took the photo on which this image is based. I've been in love with it all this time and it's taken me a while to really understand why. Yes, I love New York ... the giant looming skyscrapers, the crowds, the energy, even the traffic ... all of which this image has. But the real reason this one got to me is his capture of the amazing lights. My interpretation emphasizes the brilliant colors of the electronic signs and jumbo-trons and traffic signals, even the headlights and taillights on the cars ... the brilliant colors of the lights as they frame and try to outdo what is clearly a beautiful, glowing sunset seen in the distance.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence.
