Several years ago when we visited the Mediterranean, our stop at the island of Santorini couldn't have been more perfect. The glorious white painted buildings with their blue and crimson accents gleamed in the brilliant sun, just as we'd been told. The waters of the Aegean and the sapphire skies were just as blue as promised.
The lovely architecture of the Church of Panagia Platsani was so unique to me ... the gentle curves and striking bell tower magnificent, the brilliant white of the facade blindingly beautiful in the sun.
There was just one problem. We visited in the morning and mid-day ... thereby missing one of the most glorious sights we can see on our planet, the experience of viewing the town of Oia's legendary sunset.
But I couldn't help wondering what it would look like reflecting the glow and warm colors of one of those famous evening sunsets.
So ...
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
