So happy that “Open Wide And Say Ahh” tied for second place in the 4/28/2025 contest “First the Bud” held by the Four Seasons Group. Many thanks to contest administrator Liz Knight and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners.
The first-blooming of the vibrant orange lilies seem to explode with color ... anxious to open and greet the brand new summer season. All around the three blossoms are more lily buds, seemingly bursting to join the party. Eager to play his part in the age old game of life and propagation, a colorful little Malay Lacewing butterfly makes his approach as one of the lilies seems to open wide and say "ahh."
