Description
An autumn night, a full moon, Halloween on its way ... and we've decided to take the short cut home through the forest. Of course it's a path we've taken all our lives, we'd know it in our dreams ... but tonight, there is an edge to our dreams. A scary edge. The moonlight is bright enough to light our way easily, but there are eerie rustlings and stirrings among the fallen leaves which crunch ominously as we hurry along. Suddenly a voice calls out ... "Whooo .... Whooo whooo whooo!!!" And just before we scamper down the last hill to home, we glance up to see the surprised look on the face of a great horned owl. We're just as startled to see him, as he is to see us!!!
Painted freehand digitally from my imagination in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet and art pen stylus, utilizing many beautiful brushes. This is a cropped and slightly adjusted portion of a previously uploaded piece called "Haunted Forest" also available here.
